Iphone X's Success: How much will Google Pay To Be The Default Search Engine?

Apple will definitely love the fact that IPhone X sold out within minutes around the world. This is surely what you would expect considering the fact that the phone was hugely anticipated. Samsung although being a competitor will be happy with this development, the Tech company is tasked with the production of display of IPhone X. The display is the most expensive feature of the new handset.
Google, another fierce Apple competitor should also be happy with this but nope, the company has to pay billions of dollar($) to Apple for the privilege of being the default search engine.
According to latest estimates, Google will have to pay Apple $3 billion for the IPhone X search deal.

As stated by Google, Traffic Acquisition Costs(TAC) is increasing due to changes in the agreement with partners. Apple is rumored to be this 'undisclosed partner'.
Business Insider claims that the rising TAC is as a result of the new agreement with Apple. However, there’s no new estimate of the Apple-Google deal, and Google never mentioned Apple in its third-quarter earnings report or remarks.
