Microsoft Presenter Downloads Google Chrome Browser After Edge FailsDuring a Microsoft presentation, "Datacenter Transformation. Migrating Apps, Workloads and Data to Azure", the company's browser failed and the presenter had to download Google Chrome 36 minutes and 40 seconds into the presentation.
The presenter Michael Leworthy, a member of the Azure Migration Team was offering an insight into virtual machines using the company's browser, Microsoft Edge. The Microsoft Edge browser froze during the presentation and he had to download Chrome. He didn't wait for the browser to reboot or reload or whatever as the presentation was 73 minutes long.
Michael Leworthy uttered, "I love it when demos break". He paused for some seconds before saying the big words, "I'm going to install chrome" . It wasn't the browser's finest hour but he was applauded by the audience.
Indeed when Google Chrome began to download, the browser by Google offered the message: "Browse Fast".
As the browser loaded, Michal Leworthy made it known that; "We are not going to make Google better" as he refused to send crash reports to Google. He simply downloaded something that would work.
Michael Leworthy has shown himself to be far more open to accepting the existence of competitors than his predecessor Steve Ballmer. Michael Leworthy has even been seen with a IPhone.
It was a funny experience.
