The new beautiful phone by Google, the Pixel 2 XL has been faced with some minor (if you call it that) problems since its release.

Some customers have reported cases of screen burn-in. Others also took to social media to complain about the Pixel 2 XL Operating System error. Google was quick to address these problems.

Now Google has taken an action in form of software update to correct and improve the display mode. The software update packs several adjustments for the Pixel 2 XL's P-OLED screen.

Among the changes are three color profiles (replacing the old "vivid colors") which are:
  • Boosted.
  • Natural.
  • Saturated.
The "boosted" color profile can be seen as the replacement for the old "vivid colors".
According to Android Central, even with the saturation color profile selected, users shouldn't expect the display to match that of the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Google's aim is to reduce the cases of screen burn-in by adjusting and reducing the "burden" on the display. For instance, the level of maximum brightness may be reduced.
